Open and compare results

Search, sort, open, rename, export, or delete the current scenario's Saved results. Latest marks the newest, Active the loaded result, and Best the lowest cost matching Latest's setup.

Inspect Different Config before comparing scores. Restore this result's configuration as new scenario creates a separate scenario from its snapshot.

Select two or more results, then Compare. Best/worst scores appear only for matching configurations. Open an assignment-comparison cell to inspect its result and session.

Read scores and constraint evidence

Open Quality → Global goals · Score breakdown.

Bounds are diagnostics, not attainable-score guarantees. ? means loading; tooltips explain failures. Assignments remain available. Compare costs only with matching snapshots, constraints, weights, penalty functions, and solver semantics.

In Quality, expand a constraint family and Toggle details. Kept X / Y summarizes compliance; details show affected assignments, counts, targets, and deviations. Preferences add cost to valid results. Report Fixed Placements, Keep Together, or Keep Apart violations.

The histogram counts pairs by meeting frequency. The matrix shows individual pairs and Avoid Repeats costs, threshold, and penalty function. Neither identifies which rule caused a repeat.

Inspect and edit assignments

Schedule offers Board, Grid, and List. People lists itineraries and contacts; session links return to assignments.

On the editable Board, select names and Move selected, Swap, or drag between groups. Unassigned temporarily holds attending people. Person and group assignment locks apply across sessions.

Set Preferences → Editing in the account menu: Strict blocks new assignment/requirement problems; Warn previews moves; Free applies moves and reports issues.

Assignments autosave as you edit, including incomplete boards with people still to place or requirements not met. An incomplete result is saved without a score and shows what is still open; scores, quality, and sharing return once everyone is placed and every requirement is met. Drafts that refer to people, groups, or sessions the setup no longer has stay recoverable locally until you adapt them. Layout and presentation also autosave.

Undo/Redo follow assignment and presentation changes chronologically. Result actions → Discard unfinished draft… restores saved state without removing history.

Result actions offers Add person…, Add group…, Incorporate Setup…, and Save a copy…. Setup changes save with the schedule as a new scenario. Older or differently configured results prompt for an editable copy.

Arrange and present the board

Drag table handles or use arrow keys; resize edges or use Canvas layout. Position locks affect display only. Columns per session accepts up to 100 or Auto; new boards start with five. Grid rearranges unlocked cards; manually positioned cards otherwise retain positions.

Result presentation sets reading sizes, spacing, width, and public labels. Width changes affect unlocked cards across sessions, with autosave/Undo. Navigate with zoom, search, and Fit board; set new-board defaults in Preferences → Canvas.

Present result hides editing controls while retaining layout and public labels. You can still drag people between groups while presenting; turn this off with Allow editing while presenting in Preferences. Exit to resume full editing.

Restore, edit, and reoptimize

History → Setup restores setup; History → Result restores the selected result. Restores add revisions and preserve later history. Activity combines setup changes and result lifecycles, identifying unavailable history.

Deleting a result permanently removes its undo/revision history; Activity records the deletion. Restoring Setup cannot recover either.

From Grid or List, choose Edit groups to open the Board in fullscreen. Move or swap people, adjust locks, then use Reoptimize on the Board to improve the edited schedule. Draw new groups replaces the groups with a fresh random arrangement, Empty groups takes everyone who isn't locked out of their groups so you can place them by hand, and Draw the rest places only the people still waiting. Locked people always stay, and Undo brings back the previous groups. While presenting, the draws play the reveal so the class watches the groups fill up. Paused runs and checkpoint resume, import, export, encryption, and deletion are under Solver → Runs.

Share or export

Share & export offers Text, Lines, CSV, and SGP previews; clipboard tables/itineraries; print/PNG; snapshots, spreadsheet/raw rows, Zoom CSV, session rosters, and participant itineraries.

Before Create share link…, review included names, attributes, objectives/constraints, solver settings, schedule/metrics, telemetry, and selected view. Included solutions carry board presentation; excluding attributes removes public attribute labels. Anyone with the link can open it, plus the password if Require password to open is enabled. Suggest solving on open with solver settings solves with exactly those settings.

Export optimization prompt prepares an LLM prompt with the active scenario, normalized rules, contact bounds, score correction, and a standalone standard-library Python 3.9+ scorer. Include the current result with its verified score, or request a new schedule. Frozen assignments remain requirements.

Copy or download the .txt prompt. Preparation is local; names, IDs, and attributes are included wherever you send it. It asks the LLM to run the scorer, preserve requirements, and return an evaluated roster. P1/G1 references map to listed people/groups; sessions start at 1. The scorer accepts rosters or prints JSON with --roster candidate.json. Bounds do not prove zero cost attainable. Reevaluate invalid results, or exclude them when no sessions are frozen.

Import schedule accepts the returned groupmixer-roster block or plain text. Preserve the full header identifying the scenario, references, and frozen assignments. Validate and preview shows actual names and a native score; Save as new result preserves existing results. Duplicates, missing groups, invalid assignments, and changed scenarios are rejected without repair. LLM scores are ignored. Revalidate if the scenario or selected result changes during preview.

Zoom export reads zoom_email, email, Email Address, or Email. Missing addresses are skipped and counted in the notification. Multiple sessions download as a ZIP of per-session CSVs.
